PATTO: Over a 100 former employees of Sesa-Vedanta Mining Corporation today staged a protest outside the company office demanding to settle PF dues.
The former employees said that the company failed to settle PF dues in the last 5 months. “The company failed to settle PF dues since last 5 months from EPF trust managed by Vedanta” they said.
Police force was deployed at the office premises to take care of any untoward incident. “PF is our right, it should be given all of us. we have been removed but our PF is still with the company,” they said
The ex employees also threatened to stage a bigger protest of PF dues not settled.
They have also alleged that Vedanta has got outside labourers to work in their new lease at Bicholim.
“If our issue is not solved, then will challenge the EC granted to Vedanta. We have been in this service for last 30 years and still we are left like this,” they said.
They said that 150 employees are left without PF dues. “It has been six months without PF,” they said.
