PERNEM: Mopa Airport Police have registered an FIR in connection with the vandalism reported at Government Middle School, Casarvernem, where window panes and water taps were allegedly damaged by unknown persons.
The case was registered on September 29 based on a written complaint filed by school headmistress Alka Kanolkar. The alleged incident, which was previously reported, took place between the afternoon of September 26 and the early morning of September 28.
According to the complaint, unknown person(s) allegedly criminally trespassed into the school premises with an intention to commit an offence and damaged the glass panes of the school’s windows.
Two taps connected to the incoming water supply line were also allegedly damaged, causing loss to government/public property.
Mopa Airport Police Station has registered the FIR under Sections 324(3) and 329(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, along with Section 3 of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984.
Further investigation is in progress and is being conducted by PSI Swapnil Kinelkar.
