MAPUSA: Police have registered a case against four persons, including staff members of a fast food outlet, for allegedly assaulting a man and his son following a dispute over bill payment in Mapusa.
According to the complaint lodged by Raian Vaman Haldankar, a resident of Ansabhat, Mapusa, the incident took place on May 7 at around 12:30 am near Papa Fast Food Corner in Mapusa, Bardez.
The complainant alleged that the accused — Anand Hazare of Dignem Kudnem, Bicholim; Sridhar Anand Hazare of Dignem Kudnem, Bicholim; Rohit Ravi Roy of Dhuler, Mapusa; along with an unidentified male staff member of the fast food corner — acting in furtherance of their common intention, abused him and his 29-year-old son Rahul Rajan Haldankar with filthy language during an argument over payment of the bill.
The accused allegedly assaulted both victims using metal utensils, causing bodily injuries.
Police have registered the offence and further investigation is underway.
