PANAJI: Foreigners Regional Registration Office Goa conducted an enforcement drive in Mandrem on April 29 under the provisions of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025, to ensure compliance with reporting requirements related to foreign nationals.
During the drive, officials detected six overstaying foreign nationals, all Russian citizens, and initiated necessary legal action against them.
FRRO Goa also launched an inquiry against an accommodation provider for alleged repeated non-compliance with mandatory reporting requirements concerning foreign guests.
The enforcement operation was led by SP FRRO Arshi Aadil, IPS, along with DySP/SP Braz Menzes, PI Devendra and the enforcement team in coordination with local police.
FRRO Goa has advised all accommodation providers to strictly comply with Form III and Form C regulations. Authorities stated that arrival or check-in details of foreign nationals must be submitted within 24 hours, with all particulars entered accurately and completely. Departure or check-out details are also required to be updated within 24 hours.
Officials clarified that these rules apply to OCI card holders as well as accompanying minor children of foreign nationals.
FRRO Goa warned that failure to comply with reporting requirements would attract penal provisions under the law and reiterated its commitment towards maintaining a secure and compliant environment for foreign nationals while facilitating legitimate tourism in the state.
