PANAJI: The Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), Goa, on Tuesday traced two Kenyan foreign nationals staying in violation of immigration rules during a special verification drive conducted in the Calangute-Candolim belt.
According to FRRO Goa, the intensive operation was carried out on May 27 by a team led by PSI Parag Parekh along with PC Rupesh Matkar, LPC Gauravi Pirankar and LPC Uttara Bagi, with the objective of identifying foreign nationals overstaying and residing illegally in the state.
During the course of the operation, the two Kenyan nationals were found overstaying in Goa without valid visa documents. Authorities stated that necessary legal action has been initiated against them under the applicable provisions of law.
FRRO Goa reiterated that strict action will continue against foreign nationals found violating visa and immigration conditions. The office also urged hotels, guest houses, homestay operators, landlords and accommodation providers to strictly verify travel documents of foreign guests and ensure timely submission of C-Forms/Form-III, warning that delays or failure in reporting would invite legal consequences.
The drive was conducted under the close monitoring of PI FRRO Shri Devendra and SP/Dy.SP FRRO Shri Braz Menzes, and under the overall supervision and guidance of SP FRRO Smt. Arshi Aadil, IPS.
