PANAJI: In a major boost to Hospitality education in Goa, the Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry has signed an MOU with V M Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education, Raia.
GCCI President Shrinivas Dempo has focussed on sustainability & and inclusivity @2047 as the Chamber theme. Recently a Corporate Bridge between Startups & and the Hospitality Industry was conducted by GCCI. Engagements with Hospitality Education is a must to sustain this sector.
This is the first of its kind association with Hospitality Academics & GCCI.
To Bridge the Industry-Academia divide; Share Expertise of resource persons in the field of Hospitality, Tourism &
General Management; Facilitate the advancement of knowledge through academic & and re-research collaborations; Conducting Joint Surveys & and analysis; Programmes and events; Networking Opportunities; Support in Internships & and job training opportunities and providing Guest Faculties to help in curriculum are the objectives of the same.
The MOU with GCCI was signed by Ms Pratima Dhond VP- GCCI in the presence of Mr Sanjay Amonkar Director General, Mr Kiran Ballikar & and Ms Pallavi Arondekar. Prof. Irfan S. Mirza Principal & Director signed on behalf of VMSIIHE in the presence of Dr Mari Raj Administrator. The event was coordinated by Dr. Semele Sardessai, as informed by the Department of Information and Publicity.
