VASCO: In wake of renovation of the Mormugao Council building, Goa First has demanded that all the government departments, operating from the premises be shifted to the Sada Market Complex, for the convenience of the Citizens.
“All these department are under single roof and citizens find a comfort zone. Now If all this department are placed at different locations it will be difficult to locate each department which are inter connected. We demand the Government and to the municipal council to kindly shift the offices at Sada new market complex which is just 2.8 km from this present municipal office as there is better road connectivity and transport system as the property have a ground plus 4 floor and a spread over 1927 sq meters,” Said Parshuram Sonurlekar of Goa First.
He said the structure build up have cost approximately Rs 8 crore it also have a parking for 50 cars and 25 two wheelers.
“Each department can be accommodated at each floor. The building already have solar lighting and water harvesting facility and government can get the basics such as water and power on urgent basis and even occupancy and noc from relevant offices. The project have been completed long back and kept unused, shops not allotted by the UD minister for personal gain and favouritism,” he said.
