PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said Goa is gearing up to establish a Kunbi Craft Village providing a platform for artisans to showcase their creativity, fostering self-employment, and generating earning opportunities.
“Goa is also gearing up to establish a Kunbi Craft Village, providing a platform for artisans to showcase their creativity, fostering self-employment, and generating earning opportunities,” said Sawant.
He further said that the Department of Handicrafts is actively engaged in reviving Goa’s heritage arts and crafts, notably bringing back the traditional KunbiSaree to showcase our cultural richness on the global stage.
“Explore the success stories of the Department of Handicrafts, Textile, and Coir as they uplift both aspiring and established artisans in the vibrant state of Goa,” he added.
The Chief Minister also said that Goa, rich in diverse arts and skilled artisans, is fostering their growth and mastery through the provision of training, support, and recognition through Government initiatives for Handicrafts artisans honouring a commitment to nurturing local talent.
