PANAJI: According to a Tourism minister Rohan Khaunte, the Goa government is planning to launch several programs to assist startups, as the state is expected to develop into a hub for innovative startup ideas.
The government’s goal, according to Goa Information Technology Minister Rohan Khaunte, is to establish the state as a top startup destination in Asia. He made this statement on Thursday during the three-day Tech Media Startup 2023 event’s closing ceremony.
“With its lively vibe, Goa is well-positioned to develop into a thriving hub for innovative startups. We plan to launch a range of initiatives in the upcoming months to help further stimulate business growth and give startups the assistance they require,” he stated.
“Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, the aim is to position Goa as a premier startup destination in Asia…The state’s unique blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage and burgeoning entrepreneurial spirit sets the stage for the convergence of startups and information technology,” he stated.
The minister stated that the state government hopes to close the gap between academia and industry by forming strategic alliances with important players in a variety of industries, acknowledging the value of industry exposure for students. ”
This collaborative effort will facilitate internship and placements, equipping our students with practical experience for the professional challenges ahead,” he stated. Goa is well-positioned to develop into a major global hub for technology-driven entrepreneurship, according to Khaunte, thanks to its encouraging ecosystem, government initiatives, and vibrant startup community.
