PANAJI: Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in its weather bulletin has said Goa will witness light to moderate rainfall for the next 48 hours.
“Yesterday’s low-pressure area over Gangetic West Bengal now lies over southeast Jharkhand& neighbourhood. A trough from this system to Telangana across interior Odisha is seen between 1.5&3.1 km above mean sea level.” The IMD Said
Further, Heavy rainfall (Rainfall>6.4cm in 24 hrs) is very likely at isolated places over North South Goa today.
The forcast said that a new Low-Pressure Area is likely to form over Northeast & adjoining East-central Bay of Bengal around 24th September evening and It is likely to move westÂnorthwestwards towards Odisha coast during the subsequent 48 hours. As a result, light to moderate rainfall activity is very likely to continue over North&South Goa districts in the coming days.
