PANAJI: Sports Minister Govind Gaude said that government jobs would be reserved for those athletes who bring laurels to the state of Goa.
Gaude also said that he would encourage youngsters to pursue their careers in sports.
“Govt jobs would be reserved for those athletes who bring in medals for the state, be it on a national or international level,” said Gaude
He further said that youth should attain great heights in education for a successful life and sports and culture are equally important.
“If one shines in any sports, he or she can get name and fame not just at the state level but throughout the nation,” he added.
Gaude said that youths of rural parts of the State have potential, talent, and skill and that there is just a need to push while stating that Sports and Culture are included in National Education Policy which will benefit the students.
“One should set a target for success and work hard with determination to achieve that goal,” he added.
