PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has asserted that the government aims to reach the last person of the society, and the State administration is working in that direction.
“The Government’s aim is to reach to the last person of the society, and the State administration is working in that direction. Advanced technology and new techniques in the agriculture sector are attracting youths towards agriculture in the State,” said CM Sawant.
He further urged people to take up integrated farming in the form of agriculture, horticulture, dairy farming, pisciculture and floriculture together.
“The concept of Swayampurna Goa initiated by the Govt of Goa is a role model and will go a long way in making not only Goa but also the nation Atma Nirbhar. Even though tourism took a backseat during the pandemic, the agriculture sector in Goa steamed ahead, riding on the policies set by former Chief minister late Manohar Parrikar,” he added.
CM Sawant claimed that a double-engine government is bringing prosperity to every household and that no one should fall prey to the Rs 5,000 and other schemes offered by some parties.
Referring to the schemes announced by TMC, Sawant said the state government is providing loans to needy people at 2% besides subsidy, and hence people should not fall prey to false assurances. TMC has also announced a scheme for the youth.
