PANAJI: The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) on Sunday held a key review meeting to assess organisational activities across the state and discuss the party’s roadmap for the 2027 Goa Assembly elections.
The meeting was chaired by GPCC President Girish Chodankar and GPCC Working President M.K. Shaikh and was attended by district-level party leaders.
Among those present were Shashank Narvekar, President of the North Goa District Congress Committee; Assiz Jacklis Noronha, President of the South Goa District Congress Committee; Rajesh Shivdas Verenkar, President of the Kushavati District Congress Committee; and Mangaldas V. Naik, President of the Mhadei District Congress Committee.
According to the party, discussions focused on strengthening the Congress organisation at the grassroots level, enhancing public outreach and intensifying political and organisational activities across all districts of Goa.
The district presidents reviewed ongoing programmes, discussed strategies to expand the party’s reach and outlined plans to address issues concerning the people of Goa.
Addressing the meeting, GPCC President Girish Chodankar stressed the importance of unity, discipline and grassroots engagement in building a stronger Congress organisation capable of offering a credible and people-centric alternative in the state.
The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the party structure at every level, expanding outreach to all sections of society and working in close coordination to secure victory in the 2027 Assembly elections.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to work under the slogan, “One Team, One Vision – A Better Goa in 2027,” with a focus on keeping the concerns and aspirations of the people at the centre of the party’s mission.
