POMBURPA: A theft case has been registered at Pomburpa in Bardez after unknown accused persons allegedly broke into a house and decamped with gold ornaments worth around ₹5 lakh.
According to police, the offence was registered on 19 May 2026 at 5:29 PM based on a complaint lodged by Anant Madhu Salgaonkar, a resident of Velotim, Pomburpa, Bardez.
The complainant stated that on 18 May 2026, before 5:30 PM, unidentified persons gained entry into his residence through the back door and stole several gold ornaments from the house.
The stolen valuables reportedly include two gold necklaces, three gold bangles, one surnacho vaisar, six earrings, two mascots, three finger rings, one locket and one ati, collectively valued at approximately ₹5 lakh.
Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway to identify and trace the accused persons.
