BAMBOLIM: A 47-year-old man from Siridao has been booked by police for allegedly assaulting his wife with a knife near the Athletic Stadium at Bambolim in Tiswadi.
According to the complaint lodged by Mrs. Hema Soares (45), a resident of Palem, Siridao, the incident occurred on May 6 at around 4:30 pm on the NH-66 service road near the stadium. She alleged that her husband, Naresh Soares, wrongfully restrained her and assaulted her with a knife on her back, causing injuries.
Police have registered an offence against the accused, who is also a resident of Palem, Siridao. Further investigation into the case is in progress.
