PANAJI: Reacting to Hyderabad City Commissioner CV Anand’s allegations on non-cooperation of Goa Police, North Goa SP Nidhin Valsan today said that the allegations are false.
“Allegations reportedly made by Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand about non-cooperation by Goa police in investigations are not true,” said Valsan.
He further said that the allegations have no substance, and if you go purely by statistics, there are 25 cases in which we have given immediate help to police of other States – Maharashtra Police and Karnataka Police.
“Even Telangana, Hyderabad Cyber Police, Hyderabad Police, and Hyderabad Narcotics Police have come to us, and we have immediately helped them. Whenever they approach us through proper official channels, we immediately give them support,” he said.
He said that besides the 25 cases from North Goa, there were also other cases in South Goa and ANC.
“Recently, there was a murder case in Kerala, and the accused was hiding in Goa. There was an extortion case in Karnataka where the accused were traced in Goa,” SP Valsan pointed out.
