PANAJI: The High Court of Bombay at Goa today has refused to grant protection from arrest to the accused in the Income Tax department sexual harassment case.
The HC has adjourned the hearing for June 1.
Last week, Panaji Fast Track Court rejected the prime accused’s bail application, Income Tax inspector Manindar Attari.
Police had registered an FIR against three Income Tax Inspectors working at IT Department in Patto for allegedly sexually assaulting and threatening a female staff.
The accused had been identified as Manindar Attri from Delhi, Aditya Verma from Rajasthan, and Deepak Kumar from Bangaluru.
Accused had been booked under sections 354 (A), 354 (D), 509, and 506 (II) r/w 34 of IPC.
