PANAJI: Mapusa MLA Joshua De Souza today said that BJP should take action against Calangute MLA Micheal Lobo for openly announcing candidates.
“BJP should take action agaisnt Calangute MLA Micheal Lobo for openly announcing candidates. This is a clear indication that he is on his way to the Congress party,” said Joshua.
He further said such statements made by Lobo does not affect him as a candidate but affects the party as a whole.
“Bardez has 7 candidates, and such statements will have an effect on their candidature. Lobo is on a wrong path, and some action should be taken,” he added.
On Wednesday,Lobo announced his Wife Deliliah and his friend Sudhir Kandolkar’s candidature from Siolim and Mapusa.
The candidates who are going to contest are seated here — Delilah, Sudhir Kandolkar from Mapusa. I think that this time 100% the people will get him elected. Delilah will contest from Siolim with the blessings of the people,” Lobo had said.
“I am not asking for tickets for anybody. I’m saying good candidates should be given tickets; these are our names. Let’s see which party later,” he had said.
