FATORDA: Fatorda police have registered a case against a man for allegedly assaulting a complainant and outraging the modesty of his wife during an argument at Borda.
According to the complaint filed by Nitin Nagvekar, a resident living behind the KTC bus stand in Fatorda, the incident took place on April 29, 2026, at around 8.20 pm at Borda, Fatorda.
Police said the accused, identified as Damodar Nadkarni, a resident of Borda, Fatorda, allegedly approached the complainant’s car and started arguing with him over a previous complaint filed against his wine store.
During the altercation, the accused allegedly abused the complainant in filthy language, threatened him and assaulted him with fist blows on his face while he was seated inside the car, causing injuries.
Police further stated that when the complainant’s wife intervened to rescue him, the accused allegedly abused her in filthy language, touched her and pushed her, thereby outraging her modesty.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Salil Gaonkar of Fatorda Police Station.
