AGACAIM: Agacaim Police have registered an offence against a man from Agacaim for allegedly insulting the modesty of a woman and making derogatory remarks against her in public at Pilar.
The offence was registered on 19 May 2026 at 7:54 PM following a complaint lodged by a woman resident of Pilar, Tiswadi.
As per the complaint, the incident occurred on 16 April 2026 at Pilar, where the accused, identified as Cletus Fernandes of Malwara, Agacaim, allegedly passed offensive remarks regarding the complainant’s past marriage and publicly called her a “whore” in a loud voice.
Police stated that the alleged act insulted the modesty of the complainant in public view. A notice under Section 35(3) of the BNSS has been issued to the accused.
Further investigation is being carried out by LPSI Raksha Naik of Agacaim Police Station.
