MARGAO: Fatorda Police have registered a case against a resident of Benaulim for allegedly threatening a man with death and snatching his mobile phone outside the BDO Office at Mathany Saldanha Complex in Fatorda.
According to the complaint filed by Benson Oliveira of Colva, the incident occurred on April 30, 2026, at around 3.40 pm after a hearing related to a pending Village Panchayat Benaulim matter before the BDO office.
Police said the accused, identified as Sushant Ray, allegedly approached the complainant aggressively when he came out of the office corridor and threatened to strangle him to death if he appeared again in connection with the matter.
The accused also allegedly snatched the complainant’s Samsung Galaxy mobile phone and fled from the spot.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Sachin Patil of Goa Police at Fatorda Police Station.
