MAPUSA: A 51-year-old man was declared brought dead after he was found unconscious in Moira village on April 26, police said.
According to information received at around 4:10 pm, a medical memo from District Hospital Mapusa stated that Sean Francisco Prospere Mortimer (51), a resident of Socorro, Alto Porvorim, and presently staying at Moira in Bardez, was brought dead to the casualty ward.
Police enquiries revealed that the deceased was found lying in an unconscious state earlier in the day at Moira. He was shifted to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead by the attending medical officer.
Sources further indicated that the deceased had a history of psychiatric illness and chronic alcohol use.
An unnatural death case has been registered, and further enquiry is being conducted by PSI Pandhari Chopdekar.
