MOBOR: A 27-year-old man from Chhattisgarh was allegedly murdered following a violent assault with a sharp weapon at Mobor beach in South Goa.
The incident reportedly occurred between 11 pm on May 23 and 4.30 pm on May 24 near The Byke Heritage and Old Anchor area at Mobor.
Police identified the deceased as Shshi Lakra, son of Dhaneshwar Lakra, a resident of Panchayal Para, Village Harramar, Surguja, Jamkani, Chhattisgarh.
According to the complaint lodged by Roshan Ram Lakra, the accused persons allegedly acted with common intention and attacked the victim with a sharp object on the left side of his neck, resulting in a fatal cut injury that led to his instantaneous death.
The accused have been identified as Sanjay Manjhi (30) of Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, Asish Kumar (18) of Jashpur, Chhattisgarh, and Jagnandan Sidar (22), presently residing at Costawaddo, Betul.
Police have registered an offence under Section 103 read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and further investigation into the case is in progress.
