VERNA: Verna Police have registered a kidnapping case after a minor boy was allegedly abducted from Zuarinagar in Sancoale on June 29.
According to the complaint lodged by the child’s father, whose identity has been withheld, the incident occurred at around 2 p.m. when an unknown person allegedly kidnapped his minor son from his lawful guardianship.
Based on the complaint, Verna Police registered Crime No. 71/2026 under Section 137 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Carey Fernandes of Verna Police Station to trace the missing child and identify the accused.
