VERNA: Verna Police have registered a kidnapping case following a complaint by a resident of Belagavi, Karnataka, alleging that his minor daughter was abducted by unknown persons near Birla Cross in Verna.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred on May 18, 2026, before 11 am. The minor girl had reportedly come to Goa for work at Molbio Diagnostics Limited, located in Verna Industrial Estate.
The complainant stated that his daughter went missing from the vicinity of Birla Cross, Verna, and alleged that unknown accused persons had kidnapped her without the consent of her family.
Based on the complaint, Verna Police have registered a case against unidentified persons and launched an investigation to trace the missing girl and identify those responsible.
Police are examining all possible leads, including CCTV footage and witness accounts from the area, as part of the search efforts.
Further investigation is being carried out by LPSI Sapna Gawas of Verna Police Station.
