MARGAO: The Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today said that the students, who failed to answer National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) due to connectivity issue, has yet another opportunity on September 12.
“Glad that the NATA exams were conducted successfully today in #Goa. Very few students who had software/connectivity issues can register themselves on https://t.co/Z05W3iAAjQ before 4th September for another test, which is to be held on 12th sept” tweeted CM
NATA Exam was conducted successfully at two centres in Goa at Mice academy Margao and at Don Bosco Engineering college fatorda. 47 students appeared for exam at Mice and 52 appeared for exam at Don Bosco.
This is the first time that the complete test was online instead of the pen and paper method due to covid pandemic. The students also had an option of answering from home.
The number of students who appeared from home is not known as of now. The Exam has two parts, the Part 1 is of 45 minutes for General Aptitude and Logical Reasoning and Part 2 is of 72 minutes for cognitive skill test. The part 2 includes questions with high resolution images which were supposed to be analysed by students.
There was a broadband speed issue at Mice academy and 12 students complained of the images being displayed slowly and questions being skipped due to connectivity issue. However there was no such issue at the Don Bosco centre where the test went smoothly. 5 students could not log in on the first attempt but managed to do so after 45 minutes where they answered part 2 first and part 1 later on.
Due to Covid issues and broadband connectivity issues the Council of Architecture has kept an option to answer another test for students who could not answer this test or who had software issues during the first test and want to answer again. These students can register themselves for another test to be held on 12th september on www.nata.in before 4th september.
The test was conducted following Covid norms with hand sanitising and temperature check at the entrance and seating arrangements at a distance. There was no applicant with high temperature or fever.
