COLVA: Colva police have registered a case against the manager of an orphanage for allegedly assaulting a minor boy residing at the institution.
According to the complaint filed by Sagar Kumar, 21, a resident of Navelim, the incident took place on May 7, 2026, at around 8.30 pm at Valentina Little Heaven Orphanage in Colva.
Police identified the accused as Valerian D’Sa, who was serving as the manager of the orphanage and was in charge of the children residing at the institution.
As per the complaint, the accused allegedly assaulted the complainant’s 15-year-old younger brother, Sahil Kumar, with a belt, causing bodily injuries.
Colva Police have registered Crime No. 41/2026 under Section 115(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015. Further investigation is underway.
