The long pending demand of the locals to develop the MPA Ground at Baina may finally come true, especially after MPA Dy Chairman G P Rai said that there were plans for the MPA to tie up with the state Government to develop the ground.
“This is a very good Ground, and we want to develop it by the financial situation of the Port is not very good. We are in discussions with the state Government and also with the Goa Cricket Association, who approached us. While we cannot allow the ground to anyone as per rules, we are trying to reach an MOU to develop the ground, and we will reach a positive conclusion on this aspect in around two to three months,” said Rai.
