SANGUEM: Sanguem Police have registered a case against a Curchorem resident for allegedly assaulting a man and causing grievous injuries during an altercation at Shelpe, Sanguem.
According to the complaint filed by Rajesh Porwal, resident of Upper Bazar, Ponda, the incident took place on May 13, 2026 at around 2 am. The accused, identified as Yash Naik of Camral, Curchorem, allegedly abused the complainant and his friends using filthy language before assaulting Porwal with a fist blow on his nose.
Police said the complainant sustained grievous injuries to his nose in the assault.
Further investigation in the case is being conducted by Pradhyumna Keny of Sanguem Police Station.
