QUEPEM: Newly elected Quepem MLA rolls up sleeves to do various public utility works from his constituency. D’costa is assured to properly utilize the taxpayers’ money and expresses that he won’t make money in politics but will fulfil his promises.
Speaking to the Goemkarponn reporter, Altone D’costa, Quepem MLA stated that his main purpose is to serve the people without any intention to fill his pockets by entering politics.
D’Costa said that he would carry out development work which he has mentioned in his manifesto. He assured to properly utilise taxpayers’ money and not make money for himself.
Commenting on the work in the Quepem constituency after the swearing ceremony, D’Costa said that the people of the Quepem constituency have not seen MLA for the last 20 years when we talk about development.
Altone D’Costa said the people in Quepem town had not seen the legislator calling for the job.
Altone DiCosta, a newly elected MLA from the Quepem who was elected as the Congress candidate in the recent Assembly elections, also took steps to solve the people’s problems by taking oath as MLA in the Assembly on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Water Resources Department officials were taken to Betul to inspect the pending work, and MLA D’Costa ordered them to start work from Monday.
Betul Panchayat Sarpanch Seby Fernandes, Panch Ritin Simoes, Delphi Barbosa and other officials were present on the occasion.
MLA Altone D’Costa said that the people of Quepem town have voted more than what we expected this year.
“My emphasis will be on resolving all their issues; any work will be done after taking local people in confidence,” he said.
D’Costa assured that all the development work of the Quepem constituency would be completed even if the Congress party is in opposition.
