CANACONA: Jesmon and Shrujal (A-17), Raghav, Kumari Shravya (U-14) Nakul and Kumari Manasvi Wins the Boys and Girls categoryies of the 11th Canacona Taluka Table Tennis Tournament, organised by Canacona Sports & Cultural Club in association with St. Anthony’s High School, Galgibag, Canacona, 87 paddlers from Canacona Taluka participated in three age categories (U-14 years, U-17- years and Above -17 years) in Boys and Girls section.
The chief guest for the prize presentation function was Dy. Sarpanch V.P. Poinginim Sunil Paingankar, Guest of Honour VP Poinguinim Panch Pravir Bhandari.
The rank-wise prize winners are U – 14 boys first Raghav Sawant(Mallikarkun H/s), 2nd Naivedhya Parge (St. Anthony H/S), 3rd Denoy Rebello (St. Anthony H/S). Girls 1st Shravya Naik Desai (Mallikarjun Vidyala), 2nd Ariana D’Costa, 3rd Marsha Fernandes (St. Anthony H/S).
U-17 boys 1st Nakul Bhandari (Shradhanand Vidyalaya), 2nd Nishad Pagi (S. S. Angle HSS), 3rd Joadly Fernandes (St. Anthony H/S). Girls 1st Manasvi Desai (Mallikarjun Vidyalaya), 2nd Archani Pagi and 3rd Ratisha Sudhir (St. Anthony H/S).
Above – 17 Men, 1st Jesmon Fernandes (SS Angle HSS Mashem) 2nd Fraser D Souza (S S Angle HSS Mashem) and 3rd Samprabh Phaldesai (Shradhanand V. Painginim). In Women section 1st Shrujal Painginkar, Shradhanand V Painginim), 2nd Greeshma Bhagat (Mallikarjun V), 3rd Nehaila Barretto. (St. Anthony HS, Galgibaga).
Canacona Sports Academy Secretary Sharendra Naik, Jt. Secretary Venkatray Naik, P E Teacher Sajjan Desai were part of organising team organising the tournament successfully.
