VASCO: The Vasco Railway Police have registered a case of robbery and assault following a complaint lodged by Upendra Sunil Pangam, a resident of New Vaddem, Vasco. The incident occurred on the evening of Monday, near the railway track at Mestawaddo Road.
According to the complaint, at around 7:00 PM, three unidentified individuals allegedly attacked Pangam with the intent to rob him. The assailants reportedly stole Rs 1,600 in cash from his possession and attempted to snatch his mobile phone. When Pangam resisted, the accused inflicted grievous injuries on his neck using a knife and attacked him with a stone, causing injuries to his head and fingers.
The Vasco Railway Police have registered an offence under sections 309(6) of BNS. PSI Krishna G. Talpi is carrying out further investigation.
