MANDREM: Goa Police have registered a case at Mandrem Police Station against a Russian national for allegedly staying illegally in India without valid travel documents.
According to police information, Mandrem P.S. Crime No. 43/2026 has been registered under Section 23(a) of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025.
Police said the offence was registered on May 1, 2026 at around 10.30 pm based on a complaint filed by PSI Paresh Kale attached to Mandrem Police Station.
As per the complaint, on May 1, 2026 at about 12.45 pm, while conducting patrolling duty near Arambol Beach Parking at Arambol in Pernem, police traced the accused identified as Vladimir Kiriuthin, 30, son of Andre Kiriuthin, a Russian national presently residing at Arambol, Goa.
During interrogation, the accused was allegedly found residing illegally in India and Goa without valid travel documents and with an invalid visa, thereby contravening provisions of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, police said.
The accused was arrested at Mandrem Police Station on May 1, 2026 at around 11.00 pm.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Laximan Dessai of Mandrem Police Station.
