MANDREM: Mandrem Police register case under BNS sections following complaint over alleged road obstruction and nuisance at New Wada, Morjim
Pernem, September 22: Mandrem Police have registered a case against a 40-year-old Russian national following a complaint alleging that he obstructed road users, damaged parked two-wheelers and created a nuisance at New Wada, Morjim, on September 22.
According to police, the offence was registered at around 8.18 pm as Mandrem PS Crime No. 87/2026, under Sections 324(4), 126(2), 125 and 270 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
The complaint was filed by Jaydeep Palyekar, 35, attached to Mandrem Police Station. As per the complaint, the incident took place at around 7.30 am at New Wada, Morjim, Pernem.
Police stated that the accused, identified as Roman Kamzolkin, 40, a Russian national residing at Temwada, Morjim, allegedly wrongfully restrained road commuters and users by moving parked two-wheelers onto the road and standing in the roadway, thereby blocking vehicles.
The complaint further alleges that the act resulted in damage to two-wheelers, endangered road users and caused a public nuisance in the area.
Police have registered the case and further investigation is underway
