CURCHOREM: Curchorem Police have registered a theft case following a complaint by Siddhesh Sawardekar of Assolda, Curchorem, currently residing at Virdi, Dodamarg.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred on September 20, 2026, between 10.55 am and 11 am at the GSUDA Market in Curchorem. An unknown person allegedly stole a TVS Jupiter scooter that had been parked at the market.
The scooter is registered in the name of the complainant’s brother-in-law, Omkar Gaonkar of Kerim, Sattari.
Police said that a bag kept with the scooter was also allegedly stolen. The bag reportedly contained an Infinix mobile phone, a gold mangalsutra and ₹3,000 in cash.
The total value of the stolen scooter and belongings has been estimated at approximately ₹2.68 lakh.
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Dinesh Gaonkar of Curchorem Police Station.
