CALANGUTE: After a mishap with their two-wheeler in Calangute, a group of tourists allegedly attacked a cab driver and vandalized his vehicle.
The cab’s front and rear windows were damaged as a result of the event. Sources claim that the taxi driver was on his way to drop off a passenger at a hotel when his car struck a tourist riding a bike.
When the tourist fell from the bike after the collision, his buddies hurried over and used their helmets as weapons to attack the cabbie. The group caused serious damage to the car by smashing the windows during the ensuing altercation.
Additional investigation is being conducted, and police have confirmed that some of the visitors involved in the event have been placed under arrest.
