NADORA: A theft case has been registered after a tourist from Maharashtra alleged that gold jewellery worth ₹5 lakh was stolen from his parked car at a water sports site in North Goa.
According to the complaint lodged on May 19, 2026, at around 2.02 pm, Raj Sanjay Chavan (22), a resident of Tarabai Park, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, stated that the theft took place between 5.30 pm on May 17 and 9 am on May 18 at Stoke India for Jet Boarding Water Sport located at Kadshal, Nadora, Bardez.
Police said unknown accused persons allegedly stole a 15-gram gold chain and a 35-gram diamond bracelet fitted with a latch/clasp system. The ornaments, collectively valued at ₹5 lakh, were reportedly kept inside Mercedes car bearing registration number MH 12 WU 0801, which was parked in an open parking area while the complainant and his friends were engaged in water sports activities.
