Vasco: Two cruise ships docked simultaneously on Saturday for the first time this season at the cruise pier in Mormugao Port.
The ship ‘MV Resilen Lady’ made its maiden visit at Mormugao Port and the plaques were exchanged between the MPA authorities comprising MPA Chairman Dr N Vinodkumar, DY Chairman, other senior port officials and the ship’s captain.
The captain was ecstatic and expressed his gratitude for the support and assistance he received from all authorities such as Immigration, Customs, Travel and Tour Operators. He also expressed his happiness at receiving the passengers to welcome them with traditional dance, songs and souvenirs provided by Goa Tourism. The ship later sailed at 8pm to its next destination, Colombo.
The ship ‘MV Costa Serena’ also arrived at the MPA Breakwater jetty at 12:30pm with 1,583 passengers and 986 crew members on board. The ship will stay overnight so passengers can explore Goa and will sail on Sunday.
