SANVORDEM: An unidentified male, aged between 40-45 years, who was injured in a railway accident on March 9, 2025, has succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at GMC Bambolim on March 11, 2025.
According to police sources, the man was hit by a running train while walking or crossing the railway tracks between Sanvordem and Kalay. He was initially rushed to SGDH Hospital, Margao, before being referred to GMC Bambolim for further treatment. Unfortunately, he did not survive.
Following his death, the Vasco Railway Police Station has registered a case of unnatural death under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The deceased’s body has been preserved at the GMC Morgue, Bambolim, for identification and medico-legal procedures.
Further investigations into the case are being conducted by PSI Krishna Talpi of Vasco Railway Police Station. Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the deceased’s identity to come forward.
