VASCO: Vasco Police have registered a case against a Chicalim resident for allegedly tampering with and defacing an official register belonging to the Comunidade of Chicalim.
According to the complaint lodged by Manuel Dias, a resident of Zina, Chicalim, the incident occurred at around 12.45 pm on June 28 at Chicalim. The complainant alleged that Rui Costa Araujo, also a resident of Zina, Chicalim, deliberately and without any lawful authority tampered with the official Comunidade register by drawing a cancellation line or mark on the record, thereby causing damage and defacement to the official document.
Based on the complaint, Vasco Police registered an offence under Section 3 of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property (PDPP) Act.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Akanksh Fadte Dessai under the supervision of PI Vaibhav Naik and the guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
