CANACONA: A newly constructed house under the Shramdham initiative was formally handed over to a widow at Mahalwada in Poinguinim on Thursday.
Goa Minister and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar inaugurated the house and handed over the keys to Smt. Kavita Chari, who has been living with her daughter after the demise of her husband.
According to sources, Kavita Chari had been facing financial hardship and was unable to afford a home following her husband’s death. Moved by the family’s condition, Tawadkar extended support through his ambitious Shramdham initiative to help fulfil their dream of owning a house.
The house was built with the collective efforts of the “Shramdham Warriors,” whose contribution and dedication helped transform the project into reality. The initiative was described as an important step towards ensuring a safer and more secure future for the family.
