PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has informed that a total of 775 cases of drugs have been registered in the state from 2017 to February 28, 2021.
Year wise details are as follows – 2021(till Feb 21 – 18 cases), 2020 (148 cases), 2019 (219 cases), 2018(222 cases) and 2017 (168 cases). Total 4,095 raids were conducted by conducted by NCB/Goa Police during the period – 2021 (up to Feb – 165 raids), 2020 (891 raids), 2019 (1179 raids), 2018(1006raids) and 2017 (818 raids).
Till Feb 28, 2021, total 234 Unnatural deaths, 2 Cyber Crimes, 2 Atrocities against SC/ST, 78 Crime against Woman and Children, 32 Crimes by migrants, 2 Violation of SOP’s were recorded in Goa. In 2020 the crime stats was as follows 1,369 Unnatural deaths, 41 Cyber Crimes, 4 Atrocities against SC/ST, 286 Crime against Woman and Children, 222 Crimes by migrants and 1532 Violation of SOP’s cases.
