Five doctors from AIIMS and Defence took review of the health condition of the AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik, also the Minister of State for Defence, whose condition had deteriorated this morning.
A total of nine doctors have arrived this evening and reviewed the minister’s condition, whose oxygen saturation level had dropped this morning.
“AIIMS doctors are satisfied with the line of treatment and have told us about the steroids and antibiotics,” Dr Shekhar Salkar, of Manipal hospital, said.
He added that Bhau is stable now and his pulse rate as well as breathing is much better.
“As of now, the five docs from AIIMS as well as Defence have examined him while four are in the plane itself as they are interventionists and making arrangements in case they decide to shift him to Delhi,” Dr Salkar says.
He, however, said as of now they felt there was no need to shift him.
“Bhau has been able to hold breath for 20 seconds as well as speak a full sentence. He is currently in NIV,” he said adding his TrueNAT test has been negative.
Dr Salkar said the minister COVID tests will be repeated tomorrow.
Earlier, the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has said that the Union Minister for AYUSH Shripad Naik’s Oxygen saturation level has dropped.
He said that AIIMS doctors will decide whether to shift him to Delhi.
Naik is admitted to Manipal Hospital for last 10 days.
“From today morning his oxygen saturation has dropped. A team of doctors from AiIMS, Delhi will come here & decide on whether to shift Naik to Delhi for further treatment:” Goa CM Pramod Sawant told ANI News agency.
On Friday, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that the Ayush minister was stable after administering plasma therapy.
