PANJIM: Traditional fishermen from Aldona are on strike for four days strike beginning today demanding a stop to sale of fish by migrants.
The locals claim that their business have been affected due the sale of fish by vendors from outside Goa.
15 fish vendors had approached the local MLA Glenn Ticlo to intervene into the issue. Also they have submitted a memorandum to the local panchayat over the issue.
The locals have also alleged that the migrant vendors carry out their business without paying taxes and sopo charges.
