PANAJI: The All Goa Badminton Tournament concluded with an exhilarating finale at the Government Primary School floodlit court in Saligao, showcasing a unique blend of youth, veteran, and female players competing together. The tournament, sponsored by Krishna Mhaloji and organized by Adarsh Yuvak Sangh, Saligao, saw Bunty, Siraj, and Rifa emerge as the champions after a hard-fought battle.
Champions Emerge in a Hard-Fought Battle
Bunty, Siraj, and Rifa secured the top spot in the All Goa Badminton Tournament, held at the Government Primary School floodlit court in Saligao. The winning team outplayed their opponents, Swapnil, Nilesh, and Malaika, in a closely contested final match. This victory marked the culmination of a tournament that brought together eight teams, each comprising a youth, a veteran, and a female badminton player.
The tournament was meticulously organized by Adarsh Yuvak Sangh, Saligao, with Deepak Navelkar playing a crucial role in ensuring its success. The teams participated in various categories, including Men’s Mixed Doubles, Men’s Doubles, and Veteran Mixed Doubles, adding a layer of complexity and excitement to the competition.
The winning team was rewarded with a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and the winners’ trophy, while the runners-up team, consisting of Swapnil, Nilesh, and Malaika, received a cash prize of Rs 8,000 and the runners-up trophy. The prize distribution ceremony was attended by sponsor Krishna Mhaloji, Secretary Satchit Gaonkar, and other committee members of Adarsh Yuvak Sangh.
