PORVORIM: Chief Secretary Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, chaired a high-level meeting with Secretaries to Government and Heads of Departments at the Secretariat to review several important administrative and policy matters.
The meeting focused on the implementation of the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s order regarding stray dog menace, along with compliance and enforcement of Solid Waste Management Rules across the state. Officials also discussed preparations for the upcoming visit of the Parliamentary Committee on Social Justice.
In addition, arrangements for International Yoga Day celebrations were reviewed, with departments directed to ensure coordinated execution of programmes across various locations.
The meeting also covered matters related to the upcoming NITI Aayog Governing Council discussions, where key developmental and governance issues are expected to be taken up.
Officials present reviewed inter-departmental coordination and stressed timely implementation of directives on all priority subjects to ensure effective governance and compliance with national-level mandates.
