CURCHOREM: The Sewarage Corporation Vice President Antonio Fernandes today said that STP project at Churchorem will be completed in the next one and half years. The total cost of the project is Rs 166 crore.
“Sewage treatment project worth Rs166 crores at Curchorem will be completed in the next one and half years. Foundation stones of four more projects are likely to be laid by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on 30 December,” informed Fernandes
He further said that the laying of the foundation stone of the sewage treatment project and commencing of the work is a great achievement for the Curchorem constituency as many constituencies are not getting land for such a projects.
“Sewerage connections will be given free of cost to every house hold, not a single house will be charged a single penny; Curchorem will be clean and people here will not have to face big problems with sewage around them,” he added
Curchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral speaking on the ocasion said that opposition will not make any difference to him and that he will continue to work for the betterment of the people.
Speaking on the occasion, Vishwas Sawant Desai, chairperson of the Curchorem Cacora Municipality said that the Opposition has criticized the MLA for every developmental project which has been brought in the town which is in bad taste.
Local MLA and Power Minister Nilesh Cabral along with Sewage Cooperation Vice President and Santacruz MLA Antonio Fernandes, Curchorem Cacora Municipal chairperson Vishwas Sawant Desai, Deputy chairperson Rucha Vasta, Municipal Councilor Pramod Naik and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
