PANAJI: In view of rising COVID-19 cases and section 144 imposed, the Association of All Goa Muslim Jamats has appealed to all the masjid committees of Goa / jamats / Muslim brothers not to have any celebrations/ gathering of Shab-e-barat in congregation or group on March 28.
The association has also requested their community brothers to adhere to the orders of Government of Goa, as these have been imposed for the safety of our community and the society.
“regular namaz at masjid to be offered by following s.o.p issued earlier to the respective committees. for any further clarifications then please read a government of india, ministry of health and family welfare circular dated 1 march 2021 on preventive measures to contain spread of covid-19 in religious places,” the Association said
The government of Goa has imposed section 144 from MIDNIGHT of 27 March 2021 This has been done by the government to contain rise of COVID-19 cases in the state.
The implementation of Section 144 shall remain in force til 15 April 2021. Any violation of the restrictive order under Section 144 shall be punishable offence under IPC section 188 by the movement.
