PANAJI: Capacity Building Training Programme for Principals, Group Instructors, Vocational Instructors and Non-teaching staff of all Government ITIs was inaugurated by Vishwajit P. Rane (Minister for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of Goa), Shri C. R. Garg (Secretary, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of Goa) Shri Dipak Desai (Director, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of Goa) & Dr. Ajit Parulekar (Director, Goa Institute of Management, Sanquelim)
Goa Institute of Management will train the Principals, Group Instructors, Vocational Instructors and Non-teaching staff of all Government ITIs. The Training will commence from the last week of August till the completion of Training for all batches. 40 individuals per batch will be trained to understand the intra and interpersonal relationship by effectively balancing task and people orientation in the professional space.
Hon’ble Minister for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Vishwajit P. Rane addressed the gathering and appreciated the initiative that will help us to up-skill our Trainers, brush the skills, upstream the abilities and modernize our Trainers as per not just the demand of the industry but of the whole eco-system. With the changing times, digitization has taken centre stage. Our department has been continuously analyzing where we can improvise in terms of both the students and our Trainers.
Secretary of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Shri C. R. Garg, emphasized the role of the government to enhance skill development and employability of youth in and around Goa. This vision will help us make them an asset to the industry.
A training program must add value to each and every person; therefore, a curated program was brought to focus”, said Dr Ajit Parulekar, Director of Goa Institute of Management, during the inauguration ceremony of DSDE Training Program.
A committee will be formed to meet monthly to review and monitor the progress, address any issues observed, and prepare the curriculum.
