MERCES: Panaji Police Station has registered an FIR following a house break-in and theft reported from Merces in Tiswadi.
According to police, complainant Jospine Clement, a resident of Gauchem Bhat, Merces, stated that unknown accused persons allegedly entered his house by breaking open the back kitchen door during the early hours of April 23.
The incident reportedly occurred between 1.30 am and 5 am at the complainant’s residence located near the panchayat and behind Goa State Co-operative Bank.
Police said the accused allegedly stole copper utensils, locally known as “Madki”, along with other kitchen utensils collectively valued at around ₹10,000.
Further investigation in the case is being carried out by PSI Sanket S. Pokhare.
